Welcome To Our RV

Keystone Sprinter RV Tour

Lia & Trevor Eyre
2025 THOR Ambassadors

Hi, we're the Eyres!

When we decided to embark on our RV adventure, we wanted a rig that wasn’t too large but still allowed our family of three and two small dogs enough space to live comfortably. Our original plan was to buy a rugged converted camper van that we could take anywhere. But traveling in such a tiny space felt like too much of a stretch. (Or a squish, I guess?) After doing very little research — we each visited separate RV dealerships while Lia was traveling out of state, then visited just one dealership together where we made our purchase — we landed on our 2019 Keystone Sprinter Campfire 31FWMB, and we are so happy with our choice, even six years later.

Welcome To Our RV

The Keystone Sprinter Campfire 31FWMB is a fifth wheel mid-bunk, just shy of 36 feet long, striking the perfect balance between spacious living and manageable towing. This size allows us to navigate tighter campsites (hello state and national parks) while still enjoying the comforts of home. It has the key features we were looking for: a large main living area with opposing slides, a private bedroom for our daughter and for us, and enough space (with a little creativity) to work from home.

The Main Living Area

The heart of our RV is the large main living area. We cook 99% of our meals at home, so a functional kitchen is essential. The kitchen island ensures that whoever is cooking can still be part of the action with the rest of the family by looking towards the guests while managing prep and dishes.

The large windows throughout the living area flood the room with natural light, and connect us to the outdoors. Below the huge back window (our favorite feature in the RV), a built-in shelf houses our collection of plants, adding a much-needed touch of greenery. We’ve also added hanging plants in the slides to create a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere with cleaner air.

Separate Living Spaces

Having a dedicated space for our daughter was a priority, and the mid-bunk layout has been more than satisfactory. When we began this journey, Lennon was 18 months old and slept in a crib. As she grew, we converted the crib to a toddler bed. Now she sleeps in the top bunk and enjoys the entire floor space for playing, painting, sculpting, reading, or relaxing with a movie. While the space is small, it is hers.

Creative Workspaces

Finding two functional workspaces in a 36-foot rig required some out-of-the-box thinking. We are both full-time entrepreneurs, working in influencer marketing, social media monetization coaching, and web development.

The first workspace is in the living room slide, where we swapped the dinette for an adjustable standing desk for Lia to use. In this space, Lia gets creative in influencer marketing, coaching, and travel planning. And I will tell you, there is a LOT of planning to keep our ship sailing smoothly.

The second workspace is in the hallway, using a collapsible percussion table as a makeshift standing desk, paired with an ultra-wide monitor mounted on a pressure-mounted autopole. Trevor uses this area for video editing and web development. It’s also ideal for video calls, minimizing background distractions.

Bringing the Indoors Out…See What We Did There?

Spending more time outdoors is one of the primary reasons we travel, so we extend our living space outside with a large pop-up screen tent by Quick-Set by CLAM and outdoor rugs from The Glamplife. This setup creates a shaded area for working, playing, or simply enjoying the fresh air. It’s especially valuable in scenic locations that beg to be savored.

Thoughtful Updates for Enhanced Living

  1. Slim Shoe Storage Cabinets from IKEA

We added two narrow cabinets in the hallway to keep things organized and maximize floor space. At just seven inches wide, they fit over 20 pairs of shoes, plus electronics and a charging station for our devices.

  2. Gel Sticky Pads

These pads secure countertop items during travel, so we don’t have to move everything before hitting the road. They keep plants, storage containers, and our vintage Mickey Mouse phone in place.

  3. Over-the-Door Hooks & Command Strips

These simple additions offer extra storage for jackets, towels, backpacks, and hats in the bathroom, our bedroom, and Lennon’s room.

  4. Portable Washer & Dryer

\We hesitated far too long before getting one, convinced that a standalone washer would be too bulky and ineffective. We couldn't have been more wrong! Our washer/dryer sits in the shower and is easy to move. Now we can do most of our laundry at home, only visiting laundromats for large blankets and our duvet. Looking back, we should have made this one of our first upgrades. We have saved so much money and time buying this appliance.

  5. Countertop Dishwasher

Another upgrade we waited too long for, this compact appliance simplifies daily chores, making dishwashing quick and hassle-free. Though it takes up counter space by the sink, it’s worth the convenience. To our surprise, it actually consumes less water than hand washing too!

Fifth Wheels

Popular among extended travel RVers, fifth wheels are designed for easier, more stable towing. Living space is maximized with additional over-cab space. This camping trailer—affectionately nicknamed a "fiver"—is a favorite of many, especially those taking extended trips or traveling full time in their RV. The prominent overhang resting above the tow truck bed is frequently employed as a bedroom suite, a living room, even a kitchen.
