How To Keep Your RV Cool on Hot Days
Tips for keeping your RV cool during hot summer camping days.
Bailey and Nicole are an adventure-seeking couple from Florida who started their RV journey in 2021 as newbies. After a couple of years of exploring over 30 states (and counting) and experiencing life on the road, they have earned their “RV wings.” Bailey and Nicole are both passionate about the outdoors and find comfort near mountains and rivers. They currently travel in a Dutchmen Astoria Fifth Wheel with their two dogs, Amelia and Olive, as well as their two rescue cats, Archie and Daisy. Together they seek to learn more every day, discover new experiences, and build a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the world around them that they aim to pass down one day.
We love traveling far from our home state to visit new destinations, with a 50/50 mix of National Parks and National Forests, and popular city destinations where new experiences can be found. We typically camp at full-hookup campgrounds, but plan to push ourselves to try new camping styles this year. We tend to stay at most locations for around 7 days, but we like to give ourselves grace for an extension if we find ourselves in a place we really love.
Perfectly cooked s’mores and the sounds of moving water. Camping near a creek or river is always so tranquil and inspiring.
Our preferred type of camping is an RV park. Being on the road so frequently creates a life with constant change. Being at an RV park allows some constants that help keep extended travel comfortable. For example, access to a camp store, laundry room, and a dog park for our pets allows some normalcy in an always-evolving life.
The best memories come from the experiences and interactions you least expect or plan for. When something goes awry or plans change, you may just find new lessons and stories to take with you down the road.
We aim to travel to places that we have never experienced before. Different climates, topography, and even sub-cultures of the country. Leaving our ordinary comfort zone can provide the most authentic travel experience and create the best memories.
