Gabe & Rocio Rivero
Meet the Riveros
Meet the Riveros — Gabe and Rocio, along with their adventure-loving dogs Wilson and Journey, are RV travelers and storytellers. Since 2018, they’ve traveled over 100,000 miles, in various RVs and explored breathtaking destinations across North America. Currently, their 2021 Thor Motor Coach Delano 24RW is their home on wheels and perfectly balances their work and wanderlust. As THOR Ambassadors, they’re passionate about inspiring others with their RV tips, tricks, and adventures from the road.
Describe your camping style
We tend to move fairly often and our preferred destinations are usually somewhere remote where nature takes center stage, so boondocking is a great fit for us!

What is something that always lifts your spirits?
Nature! Anytime we can get out of the city and into nature, we feel re-energized.

What is your preferred type of camping?
Boondocking is great because not only is it generally free, but you will find yourself immersed in some of the most beautiful places this country has to offer.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever given or received?
Expect the unexpected and just enjoy the journey, because oftentimes, it’s the journey that ends up outshining the destination itself.

What is your travel philosophy?
Our philosophy is one of adventure, nature, and experiences. We work on the road to live the life we want. And what makes us happy is spending as much time as possible immersed in nature. We have found that there is no better way to experience the outdoors than RVing.

Alaska
With so much land to explore, raw beauty and the ease of finding a perfect boondocking spot, Alaska is the mecca of RV life.
The Arctic Ocean
We traveled the famed Dempster Highway in Canada and the entire ride there was breathtaking. There is something extraordinary about being able to say you drove to the top of the world by RV and jumped into the Arctic Ocean for a swim.
Glacier National Park
Having traversed to 54 of the 63 National Parks, Glacier National Park is at the top of our list. The rocky cliffsides, alpine lakes, and dense forests make you never want to leave!
